WHAT WE BELIEVE
A shared belief is one of the main things that binds together the Body of Christ at Greenleaf. Our belief centers on the Scriptures as God’s Word to humanity. Since sincere Christians differ in their interpretation of secondary matters, there is room at Greenleaf for us to lovingly and respectfully disagree on certain matters.

We have, however, defined those major issues on which the Bible is very clear and on which all Christians have agreed from the beginning:
- We believe in the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, as verbally and completely inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and the supreme and final authority in faith and life.
- We believe in one God who has revealed to us His nature as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man.
- We believe that all people are alienated from God through sin.
- We believe that God’s work, through Jesus Christ in dying for all people on the cross, makes it possible for all to be forgiven and enter into a personal relationship with God, through faith in Him.
- Christians are people who now enjoy this personal relationship, who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit so they might grow in holiness.
- The Church is made up of believers who join together into a community in which Christ’s love is present.
We are affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
